Important Disclaimer

By using Fantage Open Source or any of the services that we operate, you certify that you understand that Fantage Open Source is not affiliated with Fantage, Fantage.com Inc., Nexon, or any original Fantage intellectual property holders (collectively referred to as "Original Rights Holders") and you hereby release the Original Rights Holders, as well as any employees or agents of the Original Rights Holders, from any and all liability, corporate, or personal loss caused to you or others by the use of Fantage Open Source.

Our Mission

Fantage Open Source provides a free online virtual world game intended for players 18 years of age and older. Our team's top priority is the safety of the game, our players, the overall community, and preserving the spirit of virtual world gaming. We have implemented comprehensive security systems, moderation tools, and assembled a dedicated Moderation team to ensure the game remains enjoyable for our adult community for years to come.

If you witness any Terms of Service violations while playing the game or participating in our community, please use our in-game report system or email a player report to support@fantageos.com. To report security issues with our game, please email security@fantageos.com.

Age Requirement and Community Values

By creating a Fantage Open Source account, you confirm that you are 18 years of age or older. Fantage Open Source is exclusively for adult players (18+) and we do not knowingly collect information from or provide services to minors.

Fantage Open Source celebrates the diversity of our adult player base. We welcome players of all backgrounds and strive to ensure you have an exceptional gaming experience in our virtual world. Our team does not welcome players whose primary intent is to harm the gaming environment, damage the experience of other players and community members, or who hold extreme viewpoints that contradict the values that we and our community uphold for Fantage Open Source. Anyone we determine to be a danger to the community based on these principles will be permanently banned from the game and prohibited from using any of our services.

Service Access and Restrictions

Fantage Open Source and its team may, at their discretion, limit, suspend, or terminate your access to our services at any time for any reason. This includes the game client, our website, official community Discord servers, social media accounts operated by us, and other web services that we manage.

Standards of Conduct

The following behaviors are prohibited and may result in disciplinary action:

Communication Guidelines

• Inappropriate Language: Using inappropriate language, innuendo, profanity, or curse words
• Chat Filter Evasion: Intentionally circumventing chat filters to violate Fantage Open Source guidelines, including using alternative spellings, nonsense words, or mixed case to bypass filtering systems
• Spam: Flooding chat channels with repetitive or excessive messages

Personal Information Protection

Prohibited Information Sharing (You may NOT share):

• Fantage Open Source usernames or passwords
• Usernames or profile names on personally identifiable social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, Discord IDs/servers, TikTok, Snapchat, WhatsApp, Telegram, etc.)
• Current school grade or educational institution names
• Email addresses or phone numbers
• City of residence or specific location information
• Full names or family/last names
• Planning real-life meetups through in-game chat

Permitted Information Sharing (You MAY share):

• Your first name only
• Your state/province or country of residence
• Birth day and month (not year)
• Time zone
• Gaming console network usernames
• Links to approved community content

Respectful Behavior

• Harassment: Being rude, disrespectful, threatening, or harassing other players or Fantage Open Source team members, whether in-game or external platforms
• Trolling: Using chat or actions to deliberately upset other players or provoke negative responses
• Gameplay Disruption: Intentionally interfering with another player's gameplay experience or preventing others from enjoying game features

Discrimination and Hate Speech

Fantage Open Source has zero tolerance for discrimination, hate speech, and extreme content, both within the game and on external platforms, that targets players based on:

• Age, race, ethnicity, color, or socioeconomic status
• National origins, religion, or immigration history
• Gender identity, sexual orientation, or expression
• Disability, veteran status, or prior life experiences
• Intentional deadnaming or misgendering of players

Technical Violations

• Third-Party Software: Using unauthorized third-party software to modify the game, cheat, or gain unfair advantages
• Unofficial Clients: Connecting unofficial game clients to Fantage Open Source servers (approved launchers using our public API are permitted)
• System Compromise: Attempting to compromise, crash, or take offline Fantage Open Source computer systems, servers, or infrastructure
• Player Security: Attempting to compromise other players', team members', or their families' personal devices, accounts, or information
• Bug Exploitation: Excessively exploiting game bugs to gain advantages, harm other players' experiences, or disrupt normal gameplay

Account and Service Abuse

• Impersonation: Impersonating Fantage Open Source team members or staff
• Automation: Using bots, automation systems, or unauthorized third-party software to control gameplay (accessibility programs are permitted with prior approval)
• Account Trading: Buying, selling, or trading Fantage Open Source accounts or account services
• False Reports: Intentionally filing false reports against other players
• Ban Evasion: Attempting to circumvent suspensions, bans, or terminations through alternate accounts or methods

Intellectual Property and Content

• Malicious Software: Distributing spyware, malware, keyloggers, or other harmful software to community members
• Unauthorized Content Use: Using Fantage Open Source-created artwork, logos, or assets published on our platforms without permission, including recreation through generative AI systems

Moderation Systems

Fantage Open Source employs both human moderators and automated AI systems to protect our players. Our AI systems access player chat and activity logs exclusively for moderation and safety purposes and will not be used for any other purpose except where required by law. All moderation actions require human moderator review and approval. Any AI moderation tools we utilize will be fully disclosed in our privacy policy.

Cross-Platform Enforcement

Violations on any Fantage Open Source service will impact your standing across all services we provide. In cases where substantial evidence indicates a person presents a threat to others, global terminations will also prohibit attendance at any real-life events hosted by Fantage Open Source.

Account Ownership and Responsibility

A "Fantage Open Source account" is defined as a completed registration on our website. Each account has an "account owner," defined as the person able to correspond with the Fantage Open Source team via the email address associated with the account.

Account owners are fully responsible for all activity on their accounts, including actions taken by others who have been given access to the account ("account sharing"). In cases of account disputes, Fantage Open Source will always prioritize the verified account owner and make reasonable efforts to restore access to the rightful owner.

Legal Compliance

If circumstances arise giving the Fantage Open Source team reasonable suspicion that activity on our services may violate United States federal law, local laws, or laws in affected players' jurisdictions, Fantage Open Source reserves the right to submit relevant data portions to appropriate law enforcement agencies.

Terms Modification

Fantage Open Source reserves the right to modify these terms at any time, with or without advance notice. When terms are modified, you will be required to review and accept the updated document before accessing Fantage Open Source or our services.

Service Termination

Fantage Open Source reserves the right to terminate any account for any reason at the discretion of our team members, and to deny access to our services to any persons or computer systems at any time. We may also generalize suspensions, terminations, or restrictions to include anyone accessing our services from IP addresses or devices associated with violating accounts, including collection of unique device identifiers used solely for moderation purposes.

Warranty Disclaimer

Any express or implied warranty that services rendered by Fantage Open Source will be free from violations of these standards of conduct is hereby disclaimed.
